this is a good guide, i followed this guide to build my own lightbox. problem is, i cant find white bristol board around. i'll most probably be using an alternative for that from popular bookstore.. and i cant find nylon cloth at spotlight. oh well.

now time to dig for some old undershirts!

bro, like wat yandao has said, its easy...the lights gonna be more than $50...unless u can use existing ones...the box is recycled, mahjong/tracing paper is cheap.

How about using vanguard sheets from popular to substitute the bristol board? can get the white and black one for different backgrounds. Maybe instead of nylon cloth can use tracing paper. cheaper Twisted Evil

    Hi,
I just got a big piece of Brystol paper from Art Friend yesterday, they have plenty there. They are also having some sale now for other materials. FYI
    Thanks

    Hi guys,
Was at ikea tampines today and came across this storage box that I think can serve as a substitute.
Tried it out myself just now and works reasonably ok for me. Very Happy
Might have purchased the box a size too big though as it still seems a bit dark for some of the pictures taken.
This is how I've set it up (the light is also from ikea, pardon the untidy desk).

One of the pictures taken using this light tent starring RG RX-78-2 & RG Char Zaku (buddy-buddy). Cool

I've posted some other pictures my wife took on my blog if you are keen to see additional pictures taken using this substitute light tent.

    Cheers!

    D.I.Y Lighbox studio

Lol don't look that easy though, but we can mod it to suit our own space.
