    Thinner for lacquer paint

Post by hllow on Sat 02 Jul 2011, 2:10 pm

Hi guys just started to pick up painting and wanted to make sure that I bought the correct paint and thinner Razz I have attached the pictures http://imageshack.us/g/96/img1055r.jpg/

Basically both the paints and thinner has the word 石油类 written on the label so I assume they are the same kind?

Another question regarding cleaning up of airbrush, I heard we can use cheap indistrial thinner which can be bought at hardwareshop. Are they referring to those kind of thinner for cleaning/dissolving of commercial paint aka 火水?

basically if u are using lacquer based paints such as Gaia or Mr Hobby... u can get those hobby grade thinners from hobby shops around...prices vary from normal to metallic thinners...
hmm cant really rmbr how much.. but should be in the range of $20~$30 for 500ml bottle..

for cleaning of airbrushes... industrial thinner is recommended coz its much much cheaper then hobby graded ones...
i got mine from hardware shops for $3 per bottle..

very strong... DO NOT use it to spray paint ur kits lol...

Now that is a new idea for battle damage! Corrosive acid FTW!
