Broke a piece in half. What next?

Post by orion9 on Sun 22 Dec 2013, 8:57 am

Last night i broke the chest armor piece of my mg rx 78-2 in half due to applying too much pressure. Question is is there any way i can piece the 2 joints together or is it as good as useless already? I looke around the web, saw things like using putty and thin cement but i'd rather ask the regulars here with first hand experience for tips. So could any if you help a brother out?

i would use cement the 2 parts back together then sand. If still have a gap after cementing, add putty and sand again.
Cemented part will not be as strong as the unbroken part, so gotta be more careful when handling this piece.
    Hope this helps Smile

Hobby cement and putty will do. I personally use tamiya extra thin cement and tamiya putty
