    Just wanna rant

Drawing in the grooves is only for the steadiest of hands (comparable to brain surgeons')
And what do i do if the tip smudges out of the groove? Tissue paper only worsen the smudge

i assume you are talking about the gundam panel line marker.
if so, just use an eraser to "erase" the smudges, or u could use a q-tip/cotton bud soaked in alcohol to rub it off.
If you dont have steady hands you could do the enamel wash method for panel lines.
    there is a guide here:

has any of you experience ABS parts breaking randomly with little applied force after painting it with gundam marker?
I used gold gundam marker on my strike freedom's inner frame and most of the joints just broke off. Sad

Are there any fine-tip alternatives to gundam markers? I find the ink of gundam markers finish really fast

some people use the sakura micron series, or the copic modeller series which are rare in sg.
best is still learn to do the enamel method as it is cheap and last long.
by the way, i completed 3 HG and 1 RG kit using gundam panel line marker before using the enamel wash method and the ink is still there.

I'm using a combination of both Gundam panel line markers and a 0.05 Zig marker for panel lines. The Zig dries slower than the gundam markers so if you make a mistake it's easier to make amends.

For paint markers wise so far I've had experience with normal gundam markers and Uni paint markers... the felt tips of the gundam markers are superior imo, even if the Uni markers may be cheaper.
